Cyber security education for employees
Our cyber security training modules will teach your staff the skills required to identify the cyber attacks that threaten your organisation and take a proactive approach by building a strong culture of cyber security awareness. Our cyber security education for employees covers a wide range of topics and various attack vectors to provide a well-rounded understanding of today’s cyber threats.
Our Cyber Security Awareness Essentials training course is designed to teach staff the core skills required to protect your organisation from today’s most common cyber threats. Employees will learn popular types of phishing attacks and how to spot them, threats when browsing the web, social engineering, best practice when handling sensitive information, mobile security and security tips when using their own devices for work purposes.
Most customers choose this course as their compulsory training for all employees. Simply let us know which course you would like to use and our team will handle deployment, completion reminders, reporting and new starters that require the training.
Our in-depth course provides a comprehensive deep dive on today’s cyber threats and offers the most amount of detail across our core training courses.
This course covers today’s biggest cyber security threats, spam emails, deceptive phishing emails, spear phishing, impersonation, CEO fraud and phishing lures. There is extended detail on the threat of double URLs, Homoglyphs, page title links, E-commerce and PCI, physical security, Wi-Fi and Social Media.
The in-depth course is used by customers who want staff to understand an extensive range of cyber security threats and how to protect their organisation. Most customers like to keep compulsory training shorter and concise, therefore opt for our Essentials course, though it is your choice whether you use Essentials or In-depth to training your workforce.
Our refresher course is perfect to reinforce security best practices, specifically for those staff members who put security at risk in simulated phishing tests.
To maintain staff vigilance and change employee behaviour so they suspect phishing emails, we recommend that anyone who continues to click on your simulated phishing emails is enrolled in this course to refresh their skills in identifying cyber attacks and extend their knowledge of today’s threats. Over time, staff will stop clicking on simulated phishing links and your organisation will have built a culture of cyber security awareness.
Our security awareness training refresher course covers spam emails, deceptive phishing emails, spear phishing, impersonation, CEO fraud, phishing websites, social engineering and mobile threats such as Smishing in more detail than the Essentials course.
Phishing is the most common form of cyber crime, with an estimated 3.4 billion spam emails sent every day. Technology alone, such as email filtering and security policies, is not enough to protect your organisation against the threat of phishing. To truly keep your organisation secure, staff need to be kept up-to-date with today’s phishing threats, the types of attacks, how to identify them with common red flags and what to do when they receive a phishing email.
Our phishing training module covers a wide array of phishing tactics used by cybercriminals, including spam emails, deceptive emails, spear phishing, CEO fraud, impersonation and phishing lures. Your employees will become familiar with the usual red flags and giveaways in most phishing emails. They will be shown example phishing attacks in the training video and then be asked to identify real from phishing emails in the short integrated quiz questions.
In an era where the web underpins nearly every aspect of business, the cyber threat landscape is evolving at an alarming pace. From phishing scams to ransomware attacks and zero-day vulnerabilities, the dangers are increasingly sophisticated, targeting organisations of all sizes.
Phishing websites are one of the primary ways in which malware and ransomware is downloaded and is a common threat to organisations.
Our web security training module covers all the red flags to look for to identify a phishing website and suspicious search results, plus how to avoid engaging with malware advertising (malvertising).
In the digital age, cyber threats often dominate security discussions, but physical security threats remain a critical and often overlooked vulnerability. Tailgating, impersonation and the misuse of removable media can undermine even the most robust cybersecurity measures. Educating staff on these risks is crucial for a well-rounded security strategy.
Our physical security training course teaches employees the common methods cybercriminals might use to gain access to a physical site, via impersonation or fake ID’s. Your staff will also learn best practice for accessing sensitive information such as work emails in public spaces and tips to prevent shoulder surfing.
Perhaps the most prevalent physical security risk however is removable media, such as portable hard drives and USB sticks loaded up with Malware or Ransomware. Staff will learn the risk they pose to your organisation, what to look for and best practice to prevent a physical attack from unfolding.
With the rise of remote work and the increasing reliance on smartphones and tablets, mobile devices have become a prime target for cybercriminals. Threats like malicious applications, Smishing (SMS phishing), and Vishing (voice phishing) exploit users’ trust and mobile habits, putting organisations at risk. Addressing these challenges requires awareness, robust policies and practical training for employees.
Our mobile device security module covers the most common mobile risks, such as Smishing, Vishing and best practice when downloading applications. This training course also emphasises the access that modern smart devices can have into company systems, applications and the network and the importance to stay secure whilst using them.
Quick Response (QR) codes are everywhere—from restaurant menus to marketing campaigns—offering convenience at the scan of a smartphone. But cybercriminals are exploiting this convenience with phishing scams that can compromise sensitive information or install malware. For organisations, training staff to recognise these risks is critical to maintain security.
Cybercriminals overlay real QR codes with false phishing ones to deceive employees and take them to phishing websites. QR codes are also being used more in digital media such as emails and online documents. Protect your organisation from these threats by training staff on this new threat and testing their vigilance with our QR Code Phishing Service.
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to transform industries for the better, it’s also being weaponised by cybercriminals to amplify their attacks. AI-powered cyber threats are growing in sophistication, volume, and speed, posing significant risks to organisations. Understanding these emerging threats is essential to staying ahead of attackers.
Specifically, AI enables attackers to generate and distribute vast quantities of phishing emails at an unprecedented scale. These emails often use personalised details scraped from social media or other public sources to increase credibility.
AI is also being used to create malware that adapts in real-time to evade detection. These programs can change their code or behaviour when faced with security defences, making them more effective against traditional antivirus software.
Our AI cyber threats module covers the rising threat of AI and teaches staff how to identify attacks that could have been born from AI.
Deepfakes are a sophisticated form of impersonation where fake imagery and video is used to deceive employees into taking action. This rising threat is now a risk to organisations and employees should be trained on what to look for in these types of attacks.
AI tools generate realistic fake voices or videos to impersonate executives or employees in “business email compromise” or “vishing” scams. These convincing tactics can manipulate employees into transferring funds or sharing sensitive data.
Our Deepfake training course identifies the characteristics of Deepfake media and provides examples to teach employees how to spot impersonation threats.

Unlimited training
Phishing training module library
Gain unlimited access to our complete module library to spin up training campaigns as and when you need them. Our recommendation would be to stick to the core training courses to teach a wide range of security skills, though for one-off requirements such as staff receiving a company mobile device, you may want to deliver the mobile module amongst others.
Quiz and pass marks
Engaging cyber security training
Our training courses are designed to be concise and engaging. Throughout the video, employees will be asked quiz-style questions that will test their knowledge on identifying cyber threats. They’ll be presented with example phishing emails, websites and scenarios and be asked to identify threats. At the end of the course, they’ll be presented with their score which is all reported back to your organisation. We can also set pass thresholds so that staff have to provide a certain number of correct answers to adhere with your organisation policies.
Phishing simulation training
Training staff on today’s cyber threats and how to protect your organisation is a key component of your cyber security posture, though it’s proven not to make a lasting difference without regular reinforcement. Our Phishing simulation training is part of our Security Awareness Training and Testing service, and often unveils that 40-70% of staff engage with the simulated phishing test and put security at risk. It is only with regular phishing testing and remedial training that your organisation can make a lasting difference and change staff behaviour.

Frequently asked questions
How to train employees for cyber security?
Our approach to cyber security training for employees is online-based, through engaging videos and quiz questions. We have an extensive library of cyber security modules, though our recommended approach is to enrol all staff in our CSA Essentials course to provide a base level of skills for identifying phishing emails, web threats, social engineering and handling sensitive information. From there, additional support and training is available for staff identified as needing additional support through monthly simulated phishing tests.
What does cyber security training include?
Our courses are designed to give your employees a wide range of skills to identify and prevent cyber security threats. With phishing being the primary attack vector and cause of data breaches, there is a focus on phishing emails and social engineering. Though our more extensive courses cover physical security threats, malicious websites, mobile device security, handling sensitive information, social media, AI threats and Deepfake media.
How do I deliver cyber security training for employees?
Our Security Awareness Training and Testing service is designed to make things as simple and resource-light as possible for your organisation. Our fully managed service means that all we need from you is a list of staff you’d like to enrol and which courses you’d like to provide. From there, our experts will handle deployment, completion reminders, reporting and identifying staff who require additional support. Alongside our phishing testing service, staff who continue to put security at risk will receive additional training, all managed by Cyber Security Awareness.
How can you promote cyber security awareness in the workplace?
Regular bite-sized training, phishing testing and visual reminders help to keep staff vigilant against cyber threats and build a culture of cyber security awareness. Our Security Awareness service is designed to provide reinforcement, fill knowledge gaps and keep security front of mind to change staff behaviour and stop security incidents from occurring at your organisation. In addition to providing online training, you can also utilise posters included with our service to act as a visual aid to remind staff of the constant threat of phishing emails and social engineering.
How long is the cyber security training?
Module length varies depending on the topics and amount of detail being covered. Our core courses; CSA Essentials, In-depth and Refresher, range from 15 to 30 minutes for staff to complete. In our experience, longer training courses are ineffective as they are often overloaded with too much information for the viewer to digest and take learnings from. Our approach of shorter courses, engaging quiz questions and refresher training for those identified as a risk is proven to make a lasting difference to your cyber security defences.
